A Wellington citizen, with many years' experience in industrial affairs, expresses an opinion that if the Government decides to make a serious effort to make and operate regulations for national service (in accordance with last session's legislation), it will be necessary to appoint a board,. on. which employers and workers would be represented. In the speaker's view such a board would have an important advisory function in regard to applications from one trade or industry to another deemed to be more essential to the public welfare.
