. ■ - An evening sports meeting of the Victoria University College Amateur Athletic Club was held on Kelburri Park on Friday, between 5 and 6 p.m., and was very well attended by numbers of students/and their friends. Three events were decided—namely, 100 yds Handicap, 440 yds Handicap, and One Mile Handicap—but the competitors were considerably hampered by the sodden condition of the ground, which made the running very heavy. The results were as follow :— 100 yds Handicap—Fhjsfc heat: Jenkins, scr, 1; Jackson, lyd, 2; time, 10 4-Ssec. Second Heat: Lusk, scr, lj Adams, syds, 2; time, 11 l-ssec. Final: Jackson, lyd, 1; Lusk, scr,.2; time, Usec. ; One Mile Handicap—Wilkie, 80yds, 1; Futter, 80yds ; 2. Time, smin 21sec. 440 yds Handicap—Aitken, scr, 1; Barker, scr, 2. Time, 59 4-ssec. • ■
