Tuckwfell; journeyed to, that township- on Wednesday,'and a very enjoyable day's cricket and outing resulted. - Wellington . won the toss, and-went-first to the wickets, piling up.' a ' score of .279-, the leading scorers being Tuckwell 75, Buxton 51,> -Windley-30-jiot-out-,--Macintosh 2\, and JTufchings ■ 23. Christian- and Spiers bowled' best for. Otaki. The local team, 'butting twenty-two, made; a c:roditable showing,.building-up a-total of 151 runs. The- best - performances were those of •Claridge' 43, de Lautour 25, Spiers . 18, Mahima" 16,- and Jamteson . 12.
