DUNEDIN, This Day. ■ The Methodist Conference to-day appointed a Standing Committee. The clergy are already known. The following laymen were elected :—Auckland. Messrs. T. W. Jones and J. Veale; South Auckland, Messrs. G. H. Gilling and W. Richards; Taranaki and Wanganui, Messrs. C. E. Bellringer and E. Dixon; Hawkes Bay and Manawatu, Messrs. W. H. Johnston and F. Guy; Wellington, Messrs. ■S. Martin and W. Armitage; Nelson, Messrs? L. White and W. Warren ; North Canterbury, Messrs. J. Blackwell and R. Turner; South Canterbury, Messrs. W. Irwin and W. Lill; Otago, Messrs. E. Rosevear and D. C. Cameron, jun.; Southland, Messrs. A. Froggart and E. Smith.
