FRENCH MOVE IN UPPER ALSACE
(AUSTEALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION AND EEUTEB.) LONDON, 24th February. A French official communique states : There was fairly jjreat artillery activity in the regions of Vauxaillon, Chavignon, Butte-du-Mesnil, and the left bank of the Meuse. Our detachments in Upper Alsace valliantly penetrated the Pontiasigoch region, north-west of Aspach-le-Bas, and destroyed the German organisations.
