At the Petone Police Court to-day, before Messrs. J. W. M'Ewan and. J. Piper, J.P.s, David Hands, who was remanded last week for medical treatment, and Prank Wilson'each, had prohibition orders issued against them. David Hands was also ordered to pay the sum of 19s 6d costs. Harold Fass, a youth, was charged with throwing stones to the danger o£ pedestrians. Sergeant Bird stated that the lad's father was at present wounded on active service. It was also possible that the stones were not thrown deliberately. Under the circumstances, the Bench severely admonished the young man and convicted and discharged him.
The Natives' Association Band will' give an open-air concert at Newtown Park tomorrow, at 3 p.m., in aid of the fund to *aUb!i*li a "Memorial Hall" in memory of our foUcn eoldiwi.
