HOME SERVICE MEN
TO TUB EDITOR. Sir, —May I crave a little of your space to answer "Reasonable's" unjustified attack on home service men ? I would like to remind him (or her) that it is only i men who are being rejected for foreign ' service, and is it not the next best thing ; they can do, as volunteers are needed for this work? It is the married" man i on home service with a family, and sep- ; arated from them, who is wanting the increased allowance to cope with the everlasting increase in the coßt of living. All honour to our boys in the trenches. Nothing is too good for them ; they are fighting tor their country. Is it not their country's duty to see that they receive increased comforts? Many home i service men to-day are envying their I comrades in the trenches, and as these j men are "playing the game" to the best | of their ability, are they not worthy of some consideration?—l am, etc., MARRIED WOMAN. 23rd January.
