The above business wag established many years ago by Swainson and Bevan at Weraroa, and was later purchased by Messrs. Hitching* and Hankins, who after the disastrous fire removed to Queen-street, Levin, and subsequently sold out to Messrs. W. Bull and Co. Mr. Bull, the principal of the present firm, was in the service of both of' the previous firms, and has thus a full knowledge of local conditions, and is a capable and conscientious man of business. Earge stocks of almost all farmers'requirements are held on the premises,! and several important agencies are controlled in the Horowhenua district by the firm. These include Sutton's seeds (both garden and (agricultural), the famous Massey-Harria implements, Little's sheep dip, etc. Benzine, oils, and "many other useful lines for farmers and motorists are to be found at Bull and Co.'s, who also do an extensive trade as wine and spirit merchants. All the leading lines of spirits and beers are in stock, and prices can be had on application.. Messrs. Bull and Co. are the recognised grain, seed, and produce merchants of Levin and district.
