WASHINGTON, 16th January. The State Department has published correspondence between Count Bernstorff and the Berlin Foreign Office, dated 4th February, 1915, showing that Caillaux was intimate with the German Ambassador at Buenos Aires, and advising the Teuton press not to praise Caillaux, but to treat him courteously, and also suggesting that Caillaux ' should . leave Buenos Aires.
