The Government has decided to undertake the building of t steel ships on an extensive scale, the yeseels to be of from five to six thousand tons. The existing shipyards will be utilised, and new ones established; and encouragement will be given to steel plants, with the objectvof enabling Cdnada to produce its own ship plates.
