English attacks east •nd- west of Moeuvres broke down. We cleared the enemy out of Masnieres T^F™*?., stronf counter-attacks after desperate fighting 'on the west bank' of the Scheldt, and also westward of VendhuiUe, taking several hundred prisoners.
