A successful tennis afternoon was held on the Wellington Club's courts on Saturday last, and resulted in SA being collected in aid of the Snorts Ray Fund. •Seventy players from" the Kelburn, Thorndon. Brougham Hill, and Wellington clubs competed in a doubles handicap, ana after each of the thirty-five pairs had played off three games, the ten beet pairs were selected for the semi-finals. The winning pair turned out to be.Miss Hunt and Hurley, of the Brougham Hill Club, who both played a very steady and heady game, while Mrs; Darling (Kelbufri) and Pearson (Wellington) were thfi runners-up. The presentation of a. trophy to the winners, and cheers for the energetic lady secretary of the Wellington Club, concluded a very enjoyable afternoon.
