PETONE BATHING SEASON
The Petone bathing season was officially opened by the Mayor (Mr. J. W. M'Ewari) on Saturday afternoon. . There was a large attendance of the public, many of whom enjoyed the delights of sea-bathing. Mr. M'Ewan, in the course of his remarks, made mention of the facilities the council had ' provided, and promised additions in the shape of more accommodation for children and a raft for the ladies. He hoped that with the 0 ij n t bus sel ' vice tbe Petone Beach would become an exceedingly popular resort. The Petone Municipal Band rendered a programme of music. •
