MAIN ENEMY FORCES SEPARATED. (REOTER'S TELEORASI.) LONDON, '9th November. Renter's special correspondent, telegraphing from Mahenge on Bth November, reports that the enemy has been driven out- of the Mkumba and Wamwera positions in the Lindi area, after most stubborn fighting. The enemy, after a determined attempt to surround one of our columns, was repulsed', and retired at night-time. Our losses were not- severe, but the enemy's were most heavy. Our occupation of Liwali and the control of the road east and westward practically cuts the communications between the two mam enemy forces. His northern forces are retreating south-west, from Mahengfc,wliile the southerners are operating from fifty to seventy miles south and west of Lindi.
