The audience was enthusiastically appreciative of the various items, which were indeed all of great merit. The selection is' one marked by beauty and variety, and the charm of the different passages was well brought out by Lt. Herd. In the Pas Redouble "Solferino" (Marie) and the quick step "Comrades in Arms" (Verdon) the band also acquitted itself creditably. The solo items were all of an enjoyable character. Mrs. C.
