BIG WILLIAMSON ATTRACTION
: What is announced by the-J. C. Williamson management as the most important and expensive engagement ever made by the.firm is that of: the eminent'EngJish character actor, Mr. Cyril Maude, who will play a brief season of seven nights, commencing at the Grand Opera House on Tuesday, 27th November. Mr. Maude has for 21 years at his own theatre delighted London. He is, moreover, the creator of most of the parts in most of the big- successes for a decade. It remained for "Grumpy," however, to put the seal of complete artistry upon his'career. He has appeared in the character'of the fascinating octogenarian no less than 1000 times in England and America. A leading bydi/ey critic -writes of Mr. Maude as follows: "It. has taken Mr. Cyril Maude to show.us in Australia what real acting is." Th 3 play, although of a sensational nature, is replete with comedy situations. Owing to an important coming American engagement the season is limited to seven nights only.
