The death occurred last week of Mr. James Stevenson, for many years a resident of Dnnlroon, but more recently of Temuka, where ho died at the age of 71 years Mr. Stevenson was the senior elder of the Presbyterian Churchi a member of the School Committee for some years, and filled other public positions. Two of t)ie deceased gentleman's sons are serving their country —Sg-t. P. H. Stevenson in "France, and Lt. G. Stevenson at Trentuam.
