RETURNED SOLDIERS

An extraordinary general meeting of the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association was held last evening, Mr. J. D. Harper (chairman of the association) presiding. There was an attendance of about sixty members. It was announced that the net proceeds of the ball would be nearly £150. The association agreed to provide a guard of honour fer His Excellency the • Governor-General on Saturday next at the ceremony of unveiling a memorial to the Old Boys of the Roseneath School killed in action. After a long and animated discussion, the committee's recommendation in regard to cancellation of membership in a certain case was affirmed.
