QUEEN'S THEATRE.

Owing to the programme at the Queen s Theatre being changed on Saturday next, only tiwo more days are left for pleasure seekers to witness it-he present attractive programme now being shown at the popular Cuba-street picture resort. The programme contains five well chosen subjects, the featured attraction being ™t five-reel dramatic play, "The Man Who Took a Chance." Franklyn Farnum and Miss Agnes Vernon play the leading roles. The story is what may bs described as a love story, but there are a number of thrilling situations contained in it, and not a few humorous ones. Another outstanding feature is "The Eagle's Wings," an unusually interm]Ug industrial subject, showing the huge American factories at work supplying the requirements of the European and American armies. The comedies and the cartoon subjects deserve a special mention. . • ■ THE SERIAL SUPREME. _ "The Purple Domino," which hasbeen looked forward to by almost every picture enthusiast in the Dominion, will be presented at the Queen's Theatre Cuba-street, on Saturday next. Tbe cast of this great serial contains the names of some of the most notable actors and actresses in the picture world, several of whom were seen in the successful serial, " Peg o 1 the Ring." Lucille Love and Hugo Loubeque will be specially remembered. All critics agree that I "The Purple Domino" transcends all previous efforts of serial productions, and that it appeals to all ages, all sexes, and all classes. The Exhibitors' Herald said: "The Purple Domino" has been well heralded, and it stands every test. I The surprise and wonder starts at the first reel, and endure through every chapter. The Sunday Telegraph said: "The Purple Domino" is a criterion of photographic art, with superlatively thrilling situations." The Billboard said : " The Purple Domino cost half a million to produce; the money was well spent. It is the most fascinating serial yet produced." The screening times of "The Purple Domino" will be announced in Friday's issue.
