SATURDAY'S GAMES In senior cricket, another round was commenced on Saturday. At the Basin Reserve, North opposed Trentham, and Old Boys played against East. There were no very startling achievements. Boys' Institute Old Boys A made 115 for eight wickets (declared), (G. Bell 47, J. Smith 15, H. Spolsky 14, W. Hart 13), St. Patrick's College 48 and 70 for five wickets (Costello 28 not out, T. Columb and Ryan 13). Bowling for Institute J. Smith took six wickets, for 25 runs, W. Hart four for 21, and H. Spolsky two for eight runs. Boys' Institute won on the first innings by 68 runs. Boys' Institute Old Boys' scored 65 runs (H. Prince 30,' C. Solway 10), Marist Brothers'. Old Boys 80 and 66 for four wickets (Fitzsimmins 16, Columb 19, F. O'Driscoll 1.9). Bowling for Institute L. Smith took seven wickets for 24 runs. Bowling for Marists Columb took four wickets for eight runs and Davis two for 7 runs. Marists won by 15 runs on the first innings. BOYS' GAME, A friendly game wns played between Boys' Institute and St. Cuthbert's on Duppa -street. Boys' Institute won by two wickets and two runs.
