(HI TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCMHON.)
CHRISTCHURCH, 22nd Oct.
At a meeting of the Superannuated Railwaymen's Association it was pointed out that some members were receiving less than an old-age pensioner.l The following motion was carried: " That this meeting of superannuated railway men protest against the increasing cost of living, making it difficult for many to get the"-necessaries of life, and regret,, the action of the Government and Parliament in refusing our petition for a bonus. We therefore ask the Government to reconsider our petition, and grant us some relief until the cost of living becomes normal.": ,
