In" a letter to the Prime Minister (Et. Hon. W. F. Massey),-the Under Secretary, for Lands of Western Australia (Mr. R. Cecil Clifton) says: "I beg to,acknowledge with, thanks , the receipt of, your report on the settlement of returned soldiers in. New Zealand. I admire the prompt 'and practical manner in which you New ZealandeTS have dealt with this important matter, and think that we, in Australia, might learn , something from ■your methods, but whether or no, I shall be glad if you will kindly send me another copy of your Act and Regulations, and a couple more copies of the report."
