ACCOUNTANTS' SOCIETY
The committee of the. Wellington local branch of the eociety has appointed Mr. John S. Barton chairman, and Mr. Ernest W. Hunt local secretary of the branch for the ensuing year. A,' 6ub-committee has been set up to arrange meetings to discuss professional subjects and other matters affectimj. commercial interests. The first, meeting of members will be held on Thursday next, when the chairman will deliver an address on "Municipal Trading." Mr. C. M^Bowden, a member of the local committee, and also a member of the council of the society, was appointed to repieeent the local hrajich:on the council of the Wellington: Chamber of Commerce. \• . .
