SERIOUS TRAIN ACCIDENT

While a train containing New Zealanders was standing- on the upline at Beer Ferrers, six miles north-west of Plymouth, gome, of the men left their carriages and crossed the line. . A passing express train caught and killed nine of them. ' (Received September 26, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, ,25th.September. In- the railway accident at Beer Ferrers, besides the nine New Zealanders killed, three others were seriously injured.- The men killed were mostly cut to pieces, and were only identified by their war discs. The men went to the rear of the tram, where tire rations and stores were, when, the express . suddenly dashed round a curve. Red Cross workers were on board the train, and rendered aid to the injured. The names of the victims are so far unobtainable. <
