"THE MAGIC CARPET."

Whatever traces of nervousness "or staginess there were in the first performance of "The Magic Carpet" were quite eliminated last night, when this delightful pantomime play was repeated at the Grand Opera House. Miss Gladys Campbell deserves, and receives, hearty congratulations on the success, achieved by her pupils. >, Such numbers as the "Flame Spirit" ballet are highly artistic in conception. One very pretty scene is that showing the Castle grounds, Wonderland, with spinners sitting at their wheels. The little girls wear pretty, high-waisted, blue dresses, in Early Victorian style, and their dancing in the Huntsmen and Spinners' ballet is another pleasing feature of the performance. "The Magic Carpet" will be presented for the last time to-night.
