"Merely Existing."—(l) It is obvious that if the Government Statistician is to solicit information regarding the status of Reservists lie cannot supply the information lie obtains to whoever likes to ask for it. Otherwise there would be very few who would care to give such information, and the administration of the Military. Service Act would suffer in consequence. (2) To place a married man who is not supporting his wife and children in the First Division would . require an alteration of the Act, which is now not worth while, as the First Division is almost exhausted, and such men are to be included in the earliest class of the Second Division.
