PROHIBITION ORDERS

A SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT.

NEW PLYMOUTH, 6th September. An important judgment was delivered in the Supreme Court to-day, when it was decided tliat a. prohibition order addressed to licensed persons within any particular district is of no effect so far as regards licensed person's outside that district. Tho effect of Mr. Justice Chapman's judgment is that, whilst it is unlawful for a prohibited person to obtain liquor in outside districts, it is quite lawful for a licensed person in such districts to supply him, even if he knows of tho existence of the order.
