LONDON, 6th September. . The Royal Flying Corps intercepted at ieast half of the German raiders, and drove them back seawards. The rest reached London at a high altitude in three relays ail intervals of twenty minutes. They did not attempt to preserve battle formation, but dropped their torpedoes and bombs aimlessly. Londoners generally took cover effectively, hence the casualties -were small.
