SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE
The weekly meeting of the committee of the Second Division Leaguo was held last evening, Mr. R. A. Armstrong presiding: The letter from the Minister of Defence regarding the officering of Second JDivision drafts (published in Tuesday'a issue of The Post) was discussed, and thesecretary instructed to write to the Minister asking whether the authority granted to the G.0.C., N.Z.E.F., bo return 20 officers per month, was actually being put into effect. It was decided to call a provincial conference for the end of next week. The secretary was instructed to ask the Parliamentary Committee to endeavour to make arrangements for the round table conference with Cabinet, as suggested at the meeting of members of Parliament, with a view to having the League's requests thoroughly discussed before any amendments to the Pensions Act, otc., are brought down by Government. A quantity of correspondence dealing with matters of national organisation, and the formation of new branches, was duly received.
