In the Magistrate's Court to-day Mr. S. E. M'Carthy, S.M., gave judgment for plaintiff by default in the following undefended civil actions :—

Monaglmi, £15,' costs £1 17s 6d"; Brißtol Piano Company, Ltd., v. Percy Ashton Carter, £22 17s, costs £2 14s. In a.judgment summons case J. A. Dotchin was ordered to pay J. S. Elliott £5 10s forthwith, or serve three days' imprisonment, warrant to be suspended provided 5s per fortnight is paid.
