The purchase'by the Government of Mr. J. Tronrison's kauri park, at Kaihu, Northern Wairoa, for a scenic reserve, was 'urged by several delegates at the North Auckland Development Board's Conference last week. The park was described as the finest remaining piece of bush in the country, comprising 20,000,000 ft of kauri timber, as well as a large variety of other' native, bush. It was decided to urge the Government to sell a large area of kauri bush in the same locality, and utilise the funds so obtained in purchasing Mr. Trounson's kauri park.
