SEAMEN'S CONDITIONS

Delegates from the Federated Seamen's Union met representatives of the shipowners yesterday afternoon to discuss points of dispute in regard to the interpretation of the hours clause in the existing agreement as it affects the seamen on coastal steamers. After some discussion the conference adjourned, and will be resumed this afternoon.
