AUCKLAND v. WELLINGTON.
On Saturday next, a match will be played at Athletic Park' between representative teams from Auckland and Wellington. The Auckland team will arrive in Wellington on Friday, and will be billeted here. The Wellington team is as follows :—Full-back, Morton; three-quarters, Comer, Aitken, Jackson, A. Thomas; fiye-eighthe, Coles, Porter; half-back, Nicholls; forwards, Pole, Scott, Desmond, Craddick, Hfslop, Black, Baker. Emergencies : Forwards, Bowers, Slater; backs, .Sherrick, Cowie. A feature of the game will be tlie absence of the wing forward .on either side. .'. ,
Prior to this match, a ladies' hockey match will be played in the Park, between teams representing Canterbury and Wellington. ' .■ .- ■ r •
The executive of the Wellington Rugby. Football Union met last, evening. Mr. D. D. Weir presided. The games which were postponed on account of the wet weather on Saturday last willbe played on Saturday week, the- 15th September. . ■ :
