PREVENTION OF CRUELTY
Tho fortnightly- meeting of the Society for tho Prevention of Cruelty to Animal's was hoJd yesterday. Mr. M. ICilgour presided. Tho inspector reported a. number ot cases of alleged cruelty to animals, and one conviction and fine in tho Magistrate's Court. The importance of reporting crises of cruelty was stressed, and the public is urged to bring before the inspector's notice any act of cruelty of animals.
