MASTERTON, This Day.
Officers from the Fea.thorston Camp wore entertained at a. dance in Masterton ■on Monday night.
A woman who came before Mastertou Justices on a. charge of having no permanent place of abode was sent to Wellington Gaoj for a. month. Rain has fallen in Masterton on nineteon da-ys of the present month.
The Martinborough Collie Club showed a profit of £41 10s last yca-r. It has donated £31 10s to the Red Cross funds.
Dr. F-rengloy, tho District Health Officer, conferred with members of the Wai-rarapa-Hospital and Charitable Aid Board in reference to certain now institutions it is proposed to provide for the district.
■ Mr. Allen Donald has been appointed judge of milking cows, .and Mr A. D. M'Master judge of Lincoln sheep, -at the W-airarapa. P. and A. Society's show.
A highly successful concert was held in Masterton on Tuesday evening, in aid of the funds of the Star and Garter Hostel in London for paralysed soldiers and sailors.
