KARORI'S PART
At the Karori Borough Council meeting last night a letter was received from the Minister of Finance asking the council to give "its support to' the War-Loan. Councillor Ske'gg, in.moving that a- meeting be held shortly, said there were plenty.;^, .wealthy, mexi'in..the .borough,, who could do their bit- towards the loan. The matter, of arranging the date for the meeting was left -in "the hands of the Mayor. It.was also decided to ask several members of Pai-lia-ment to attend the meeting to co-operate with the coun-cil-to ensure the success of the loan. The Town ■ Clerk mentioned that tho Borough Council Sinking Fund Commissioners had invested £3464' in War.Loan certificates. ■ ■ ■
