(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH,, 28th August. At a mass meeting of women to-day the following motion was carried :— "This meeting of Christchurch women desires to place on record its .appreciation of the recommendations of the National Efficiency Board with regard to the liquor traffic, holding that sucn recommendations are marked by soiind sense, clear judgment, and true patriotism, and that this meeting expresses its admiration aud: thanks for the courage which the members of the board have shown in dealing with this matter, after their long and painstaking investigations, and earnestly hopes the country will have the advantage of their valuable services in this time of need."
