SHIP CONSTRUCTION
UNITED STATES NEW PROGRAMME.
(ABSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) WASHINGTON, 25th August. The United States Shipping Board has submitted a programme of 1270 ships of 8,000,000 tonnage, in addition to 2,000,000 tons already in course of construction. The board hae requested an additional appropriation of a thousand million dollars.
