MILITARY APPEALS

CASES BEFORE WELLINGTON BOARD The Third Wellington Military Service Board continued its sittings in the ;;ity on Saturday.

John Leslie Fulton, shearer, claimed that he was an Australian, and his appeal was adjourned for two months to enable him to produce evidence proving his assertion.

Mr. W. A. J. Dutch appealed on behalf of George Coombes, apprentice to the trade of brassfounding. An adjournment for three months was granted. William C. Murray, marine engineer, who was previously given leave until 22nd August, applied for an extension of time on account of his wife's health. He was allowed another three months.

Pte. J. E. Hockey, of Nelson, at present in camp, applied for a further extension of leave, owing to the condition of his wife. Hockey is to be recommended for leave for one month.

A man who served eight months at Samoa, Frederick J. Bromley, 21 yearn of age, single, was given one month's additional leave. .." . :

James Henry Butler, market gardener a.t Taita, whose appeal was \ previously adjourned until the end of ' the First Division, said the position had not changed; Decision was reserved pending a further examination.

Company, 30 Reinforcements. , Williams was advised to apply at once for financial assistance, and in the meantime the matter was allowed to stand over.

The application of Pte. Samuel J. Tiller. 32nd ' Reinforcements, for temporary leave was dismissed. An appeal by, Patrick Murphy, of Adelaide-road, was adjourned until after the first ballot for Second. Division men.

The Board adjourned until Monday.
