GERMANY'S 'JULY ESTIMATE,
(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 24th August. Admiralty, per Wireless Press.—A German message states: The Chancellor, in the course of a speech in the Reichetag, claimed that 811,000 tons of shipping were sunk in July. He added: "When we take into consideration our results on the one hand, and the enemy's failures on the other, it appears incomprehensible that our enemies do not show a disposition to prepare a way for .the consideration of peace terms."
