LODGE MEETINGS

The weekly session of tho Pioneor Lodge, No. 11. 1.0. G.T., was hold at the Recliabite Clm.mbor.% Manners-street. 'C.T., Bro. W. 0. Thomas presided. It was reported that Bro. Carmichaol, Elect. Dep., had been admitted to hospital, and undergone a, very serious operation. The secretary was instructed to forward a letter of sympathy en behalf of the lodge. Two new candidates wore proposed. Visitors from Duncdin and Nelson wore cordially welcomed. It being declared an open night, tho following contributed items in excellent style, encores boing the general, order of th« evening:—Pianoforte solo, Sister H. Miller; songs, Miss Lucas (2), Miss Pieott (2); recitations, Mrs. Hyamos (2). By special requost Mrs. Hyames recited "Not Understood." Bro. Trevithick was in charge of the second part of tho programme a.nd adopted tho "post bag." Several of the members received letters and g«.vo verbal replies. Suppnr was provided. Azotes of thanks wero passed to all who assisted in tho evening's function. For next week's meeting Bro. and Sister Petherick, sen., arc responsible.

Tho second meeting of the Sunbeam Juvenile Temple was hold at Rechabitu Hall. The superintendent Sister Mrs. Harding was in cliargc. Six now caudi<ln.tes wuro admitted to .racmbcvfliip. The members have thrown their heart into their work and givo promis.p of a very successful temple being established.; -A sliort programme of songs, duets, and recitals was contributed to by seven of the members. Bro. Petherick tendered his warmest, congratulations for the rapid advance they were making, and offereel a prize to the boy or girl giving the best item at their next week's mooting.
