The weather is dull for the second day of the Metropolitan Trotting Meeting. There is a good attendance and the going is excellent. Results: —

Midwinter Handicap, two miles. — Amy Wilkes, 14sec, 1; Commander Bell, Tsec, 2; Fairy Whispers, 20sec, 5. Scratched;: Armentier. Won by eight lengths. Time, 4min 42sec. Federal Handicap, one mile and a-quarter.—Chid, 6sec, ■1; Trix Pointer, ssec, 2; Red Prince, 6sec 3. Scratched: Princess Sherwood, Jack Ashore, 0.1.C., Huon Patch. Won by three lengths. Time, 2min ssec. National Cup Handicap, of 500 soys; two miles.—Erin's King,' 7sec, 1; Stanley's Child, llsec, 2; Moneymaker, 9sec, 3. Scratched: Admiral Wood. Won by half a length. Time, Imin 35 2-ssec.
