CHEMISTS' HOURS

NIGHT PHARMACY ESTABLISHED

The occupiers of all chemists' shops .in the City of Wellington have agreed that' mi and after the 20th inst. their premises will be closed in the evenings of working days as follows:—On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6 p.m., and on Fridays at 9 p.m., with Hie following exceptions—(a) the four working-days other than a Friday or a Saturday immediately preceding Christmas Eve, when the closing-hour shall be 8 p.m. ; (b) should any day other than Saturday be generally observed as a holiday by the chemists of the City of Wellington, the closing-hour for any chemist's shop that is closed during the whole of the afternoon of such day and has opened in the evening shall be 8 p.m. ; (c) should the occupier of any chemist's shop in the City of Weiymgton observe the weekly half-holiday in any week on any day other than Saturday, the closing-hour on the Saturday in that week for any such shop shall be 9 p.m. With a view to meeting the needs of the public who will be seriously affected as a result of such change, the combined chemists have agreed to run a night pharmacy, at 59, Cambridge-terrace, which will be opeD for the sale of medicines and surgical appliances most urgently required. The manager of this shop will be Mr. Gillies, late of Christchurch. The combined chemists have an equal right to share in the profits of this shop.
