* BESTAURANT AND TEA-ROOMS DISPUTE. ' As stated yesterday, an .agreement was arrived at by the Conciliation Council in the private hotels section of the private hotels, restaurants, and tearooms dispute. The wages scale of the licensed hotels aiward.was..adopted, for kitchen/and d.ining-room employees. This gives rates .ranging from, £4 10s., per week for chef -where five or more-hands arc /employed .dowii to, £1 12s 6d, for othe'r,.kitchen hands. Batea for females are to be three-quarters of those' prescribed for males, /with a mininnim,,oi' £i,ss. Fqiv dining-room employees, the wages'agreed upon are:. Head waiter, £2 Vis 6d;-.waiters, £1 17s 6d; : waitresses, £1' 'te; pantrymen, £1 12s 6d; panitrymaids;,.£l .45.,. Where /board is not provided, there .is to be. an additional .allowance: of 15s, and where lodging is licit provided, 7s 6d.-.Any room provided for employees shall, contain not less than 400 cubic, feet .of air-space for each person sleeping, therein. > . ;., .
