MINIATURE RIFLE-SHOOTING
Members of the Brooklyn Miniature Rifle Club mustered in force last evening at their range to determine the holder for three months of the Holcroft Shield. This valuable trophy, the gift of Mr. C. Holcroft, of Brooklyn, was formerly competed for in team matches, but altered conditions now make it an individual handicap prize^—the blue ribbon of the club. The shooting throughout was oE more_ than average merit, the "new blood" showing up well. After a close contest, however, the honours fell to one of the veterans, Mr. Alabaster, with the score of 96 off the rifle, and he holds this trophy for the next quarter. The scores aro as follow :—Alabaster, Baldwinson. Bassatt, Tasker. and Holcroft, 98 each; Richardson, 9G; H. ■ Parkin, W.,Parkin, and Graham, 95 each ; Turner, 94; Abbott and C(irtwrighJ>. 93 (•ach; Hobson. Macdonald, and Webb, 92 each ; Clark, 91; Hunt, 88 ; Hill, 86; Allan, 84.
