Poison quotes in Tiie Post figures which go to", show that the farmers are aotuaUy losing money instead of making the huge profits which, according to popular opinion, they ai'e doing. Mr. Poison says tlie extra wages alone in New Zealand amount to £3,212,-. 820 per annum, that tho extra profits amount to about five millions, and after deducting income tax and excess profits tax nob more than two to two and a-half millions remain "to pay tho above 'extra wages bill. Will Mr, Poison publish a balance-sheet audited by an accountant of standing,of the working of (his.or'any other similar farm .verifying his statement?—rl am, etc., . \ ' W. 5 KNIGHT.
