As anticipated, the final }d per bushel rise in the maximum price of wheat has not brought forward any quantity, only an odd little lot of about 100. bushels having been obtained during the week. The oats market is quiet. The. Australian market is. advancing, and no shipping space is available. Besides the wheat coming to New Zealand,-preference over oats is being given to manures. The potato market is ■ still weaker, and sales afc 45s and 47s 6d at country stations are reported to have taken place this week, although one buyer says he is prepared to give 60s, and few growers are prepared to accept less than this figure. ' . .
