Dr. Thacker presented a petition signed by the Mayor of Lyttelton and many' others, praying for the reinstatement of the 9.45 p.m. train to Christchurch; After a short debate it was deqi'ded on the motion of Mr. Massey that all petitions dealing with the subject of 6 o'clock closing be referred direct to theGovernment. .
