KHANDALLAH DEBATING SOCIETY
"At this weekly meeting of the Khandallah Debating Society, Mr. J. H. Richardson ..presided. The subject was a debate "That Municipal Enterprises are not a-Success." The affirmative view .was taken by Messrs. A. B. Topp, G. Burt, ■fend D. Patterson while the negative, was supported by Messrs. M. 0. Smith and F. Jvißrooker. Municipal trading and management were fully . discussed, in fact everything from electric- trams to fish markets/were dealt with. On the motion being put'to the-meeting, the affirmative was lost.
