(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLS ASSOCIATION.)

AMSTERDAM, 9th June. The newspaper Telegraaf states that the Kaiser had a very narrow escape. He was standing with Yon Hindenburg, Prince Eitel, General yon Plessen, and Colonel Hoffman in a v waiting-room at Saint Peter's Station, Ghent, awaiting the train from Ostend, when ten of the Allies aeroplanes bombed the station. Several bombs fell on the station yard and adjacent streets, killing five soldiers two hundred yards away. The Kaiser and his party were not hurt, but three officers were killed who were attached to the Kaiser's staff during his visit. Altogether fourteen Germans were killed and twenty were wounded*
